Why Lever is worth its own tracker

Lever has been running since 2012 — long enough that a lot of mid-size and later-stage tech companies simply never migrated off it. That matters for you in a practical way: Lever boards tend to have the simplest apply forms of the four ATS platforms we track (often a single page: resume, a handful of fields, done), and Lever popularized the employee-referral field that now sits near the top of most of its forms — worth a beat before you submit if you know anyone at the company.

How discovery actually works

Once Career Memory is confirmed, job searches built from your tracks start pulling from a curated directory of public Lever boards — the same catalog Greenhouse, Ashby, and Workday listings feed into, normalized to one title/company/location/remote/JD shape so a match score means the same thing regardless of source ATS.

Lever listings age out of ATS job search and daily matches after 14 days with no re-sighting — a quiet role is treated as probably filled, not left to rot in your feed forever. A down discovery worker or an unseeded board shows as a status in the UI, never as an invented Lever job.

Spotted a Lever posting on your own? The Chrome extension ingests that URL straight into the same catalog, so a role you found by hand gets the identical score, Career Ticket, and save/skip path as one discovery found for you.

A Lever listing in Recommended is not a firehose item. It includes dimension scores, a WHY, and missing skills. Save it, skip it, or open the posting.

What a shorter Lever form means for what you write

A simpler form shifts the weight of your application onto fewer fields, so each one matters more. Lever's resume upload usually runs straight through the same keyword-parsing screen every ATS uses — see how ATS systems actually screen resumes — but with no long custom-question section to add context afterward, that resume is doing more of the persuading on its own than it would on a Greenhouse or Workday application with five follow-up questions.

Where Lever forms do add a field beyond resume and contact info, it's often an open "Additional Information" text box rather than Greenhouse- or Ashby-style structured screening questions. Treat it as a genuine opportunity, not boilerplate: a two-sentence note naming the specific team or problem you're applying for reads very differently from an empty box.

What the extension does on Lever

Open a Lever job or apply form. The side panel can detect the host, pull the posting, show strengths and gaps against Career Memory, and prefill answers you have already verified. The extension does not click Submit. You do.

Assisted Auto Apply can prepare a Career Ticket from a Lever match and wait in Action Required. You review gaps, confirm answers, and apply yourself. Status becomes Applied only after a confirmed submission.

What this is not

• Not a script clicking through every public Lever board unattended
• Not a way around Lever's own form — you still fill it in and submit it
• Not a rebrand of an Indeed or Glassdoor search
• Not a live API submit path — unlike the opt-in Greenhouse Job Board API, Lever stays extension-assisted or fully manual
